Oakland/San Fransisco July 2014 - Part 1

We (the girls and I, Wendy, Alex, Sydney and Mom) took a trip out to visit Sausha and Paul last July. **Better late than never!** Sausha moved to Oakland, after she and Paul were married in September 2013.
We did about an activity a day and tried different Asian cuisines a few times. We were there for one week. We took an Allegiant flight, out of Idaho Falls. What a wonderful blessing that they did summer flights to right where Sausha moved to, so we could go visit her!

Sunday:
I had my first flight in 11 years and both girls had their first flight ever. It went well. Avery slept trough take-off and landing to avoid the pressure problems!! Hailey was a little nervous, but enjoyed it and liked to look out the window.

Monday: The day of walking!
We rode the BART - Bay Area Railway Transportation. Like a subway. Kind of glad we don't have those here. Trying to keep strollers out of people's way is a pain.
Cool Sewer cover.

Fancy store fronts.

We ate at the Cheesecake Factory out on the rooftop and got a view of downtown. The pigeons were overly 'friendly' and Wendy and Hailey could hardly contain themselves.

Then we continued on through CHINATOWN!
Avery was more interested in the statue than in posing.

Not outside, but same idea.

I got the girls each a panda
souvenir. Alex got himself a hat and loved it!

Avery did really well all day!
So did Hailey! She walked the whole way and never complained!!
Alex found a tree to climb on the walk.

I was excited to see the 'Full House' looking homes.

We continued walking towards Fisherman's Warf...
The view from a misguided jaunt Wendy and I took.

Interesting.

Another interesting.
 Pretty flowers.

Alcatraz. This was good for me. It was very expensive to go tour.

 Sea Lions.

A store for me; it was too expensive!

Hailey got to ride a carousel.

Avery was excited to crawl around.

It was a full day! We decided to ride the trolley back! Hailey was
excited to ride it because of 'Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.'
