Gunnar gets Title and Lucy gets 1st Ribbon!

One Proud Papa!Finally 2 Ribbons in One Day!! Look at our AWESOME dogs!

Getting up at the crack of dawn, oh, wait, the crack of dawn didn't happen until about the Utah border......so getting up at 4 am, we drove to SLC for hunt test #4, yet another day of anxious excitment as the dogs ran again, this time BOTH to VICTORY! And here I am at 10 pm the same night telling about our successful and tiring day because we are so proud of our great pets!

The 4 of us drove and spent all day in the car together, to save on gas $. Today there were 50 dogs, far more than ever before and I am getting over a cold and had to wake up earlier than some people go to bed on a Sat. night, but it was well worth it. Gunnar ran great, just as we knew he would, on his 1st series, leading us that much closer to his JH title at the end of his name (and higher stud fees, of course). Then it was Lucy's turn, she was soooo tired from the early and sleepless morning, but did fantastically! She ran perfect, heeled perfect, retrieved perfect, the first picture shows how pleased Justin was with her first run. Then after much waiting, came the water test. Gunnar could hardly control himself, let alone Justin being able to control all Gunnar's craziness, but even though his behavior points might not have been all that high and the fact that he stopped in the middle of his 1st water retrieve to relieve himself (this is allowed as long as the dog finishes normally), he performed very well and earned his fourth Junior Hunter Ribbon IN A ROW, thus leading to his title. Then Lucy's turn was up again, she did flawlessly! She just needed some time to figure out what was going on we think. And now she probably outperformed Gunnar, just because she is so much more calm, which helped her to recieve her 1st ribbon. So, overall, today was a VERY successful and happy day!
