Hunt Test Season is HERE!!

It's the exciting time of year, where we get to go to competitions and cheer on our dogs!! The 1st test we went to this year was our local club's and it was a double header with the Pocatello club. Justin was the chairman and organized the whole thing; got the judges, coordinated with the Snake River Club, got all the help and made lunches for all the help, along with a couple other things. He has been busy the last couple months, it's almost like hunting season where I don't have a husband except that he was HERE.

So, anyway, this year Fire is running Juniors, Cougar is running Seniors and we thought we'd see how Lucy would do in a Master. Fire passed her junior!! Cougar passed 1 of 2 seniors, he lost it on the last blind retrieve, grrr, but still, 1 ribbon makes us happy for his 1st go at a senior! Justin was hoping Lucy might make it to the 2nd series in the master and not make them both look like fools because it was both of their 1st times in a master. She smoked the 1st series; remembered all 3 marks like a champ and did a good blind. Second series wasn't perfect, but it was good enough to move on to the 3rd and final series. It was HARD, the marks were close together and far. The blind was far too, but she did it all! However, it just wasn't clean enough, she needs to work on a certain type of mark and following Justin's commands a bit better on her blinds, but the fact that she basically completed the entire master test on her (and Justin's) 1st try is great and we are pleased!! She will be trying again in a couple weeks!!

The camera wasn't working the 1st day, but on the second day, I realized that I put the battery in backwards, DOH!! So, here are pictures of Cougar's 2 tests:
